Silica Gel

Silica Gel is a granular, porous form of silica made synthetically from Sodium Silicate. It is used as a desiccant/moisture adsorbent to control local humidity in order to avoid spoilage or degradation of some goods.

Silica gel packets  are very useful as a drying agent and it adsorbs about 40% of its weight in moisture. Silica packets are found in food, pharmaceutical, leather, textile and electronic products as it is the cheapest way to protect your products from damage caused of moisture.
